Julie Granger

Julie was born in Surrey. She moved to Sussex and then to Kent where she obtained a 2.1 in Law. She attended the College of Law in Guildford for her Solicitor’s Finals and joined Kingsfords as a trainee solicitor and qualified as a solicitor on the 1 November 1995.

Julie’s background is in personal injury litigation including accidents at work, road traffic accidents, assaults, sexual abuse claims and public liability. She successfully handled claims from just a few hundred pounds to over a million pounds. Over the years she has further specialised in private client work, undertaking a wide variety of matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate/Estate work. In Hythe, she works exclusively in this area of law.

In addition to this, since the firm became accredited with the LEXCEL quality standard, she became the firm’s Client Care and Risk Officer.

Julie is also the firm’s authorised Compliance Officer for Legal Practice - a role which requires her to ensure the firm complies with the various regulations and codes of practice set down by our professional governing body.

In her spare time, Julie walks her cocker spaniel “Harry” who accompanies her to work at the Hythe office every day. Julie has three children, a daughter who lives in Perth, a daughter who is a GP in Hastings and a son who is a keen sportsman.
