Divorce, Separation & Cohabitation Solicitors

Our skilled Solicitors specialise in the process of separation and will provide comprehensive, confidential advice in relation to a variety of issues facing couples contemplating, or going through Divorce and separation. If necessary, we will advise in relation to the resolution of any matrimonial finances and arrangements in relation to children of the family. Please see our related pages for more information or call 01233 665544 for information.

Divorce does not bring to an end the financial claims each party has on the other, including inheritance claims. We offer an initial fixed fee appointment to discuss matters generally. Also, we can agree a fixed fee for the Divorce Proceedings.

Dissolution of Civil Partnerships

Our experienced Solicitors can advise in relation to the dissolution of a civil partnership, to include advice in relation to financial provision whether by way of lump sums, maintenance or adjustment of financial interest in property, pensions or other assets. We are also able to advise in relation to the arrangement for any children of the partnership.

Ancillary Relief – Resolution of Financial matters

Ancillary relief is the legal term for resolution of any financial matters following a separation and during Divorce Proceedings. Our Solicitors can advise in relation to this often difficult area, including where assets are abroad; working to achieve settlements through mediation and negotiation or advising in relation to applications before the Court.

Cohabitation

Our Solicitors can provide advice in relation to the drafting of cohabitation agreements, a similar concept to the commonly known ‘pre-nuptial agreement’ but for non-married couples. We can also advise upon the breakdown of a relationship, including resolution of the financial matters and arrangements for children.

Pre-Nuptial Agreements

We can advise on Pre-Nuptial agreements to assist parties entering into a marriage or civil partnership who wish to come to an agreement about the division of their assets if they were to separate in the future.

Injunctions

We offer comprehensive and sensitive advice in relation to Non-molestation and Occupation Orders.
