Private Client Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive (NQ – 3 PQE)
We are looking for a Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive to work as a member of our Private Client team based in our Ashford office. This is a full time role and a great opportunity for someone to be part of a progressive legal company.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate some tax, Will drafting and probate experience as you will be managing your own cases. The successful applicant will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be a team player.

Head of Commerical Property
We wish to recruit an experienced commercial property solicitor/lawyer (at least 8 years pqe) to lead the commercial property department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of commercial property work and will have the skills necessary to progress to a level where they will confidently supervise others and head up the department upon the future retirement of the existing post holder.
The position is based in our head office in Ashford which is 5 minutes from Ashford International Station. Flexible working is encouraged.

IT Assistant / Digital Support Technician
We are pleased to offer an apprenticeship to train as a Digital Support Technician with Kingsfords. This is a Government supported initiative partly funded by the Government Apprenticeship Scheme and partly funded by us. It will enable an individual to gain Level 3 (A-Level) standard qualification and work in an established law firm where you will be supported throughout.
The ideal candidate will join our small IT team where you will train to input and update digital records, input data into our computer systems (including opening and closing files and inputting client identification details), train to troubleshoot with printers and other office equipment and help staff in our Ashford, Hythe and Cranbrook offices with any IT issues. Full training will be provided.
At the same time as learning the above skills, we wish to support the individual through their apprenticeship training. This is a full time position and the individual will work five days per week in our Ashford office with one day per week devoted entirely to office based training under the scheme. This qualification will take 15 months to complete and we will support the individual throughout.
We are looking for someone who has a real interest in IT and who, in the fullness of time can bring new ideas and innovation to our business.

Solicitor Apprentice (Expired)
We are pleased to offer an apprenticeship to train as a Solicitor with Kingsfords. Although the apprenticeship training programme does not commence until September 2023 the successful candidate will initially join us as a paralegal immediately. The apprenticeship is a government supported initiative which is partially funded through the apprenticeship scheme and partially funded by us. It will enable an individual with skill and motivation to gain a professional qualification and work in an established law firm where he or she will be supported throughout.
We are looking for a hardworking, dedicated and ambitious individual to join our dispute resolution department as soon as possible, working as part of a team where you will gain valuable work experience. You must have acquired the relevant qualifications listed below to apply to Brighton University where you will join the solicitor
The Brighton University solicitor apprenticeship scheme is approved by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority (SRA). This will ensure your academic training meets the high standards expected of the profession.
Applications are invited from candidates who have acquired:
5 GCSEs including mathematics and English – Grade C/4 or above AND
3 A-Levels or equivalent, minimum grade C, with relevant employer-led work experience, OR
Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in a relevant occupation including business administration, legal services, providing financial services.
Please note it is our intention to recruit a candidate who meets the above academic achievements and is accepted on the solicitor apprenticeship training programme with Brighton University. When the course starts you will complete 1 day per week at university and work 4 days per week in our offices.
We regret that candidates who seek exemptions from the full apprenticeship training programme will not be considered for this role. Therefore, those people who are part-way through a degree or qualification that qualifies for an exemption against the full 5/6 year training should not apply.

The standard is based on the SRA’s Statement of Solicitor Competence. Achievement of the standard and the associated apprenticeship assessment plan will satisfy the SRA’s regulatory framework for qualification as a solicitor, subject to the SRA’s usual tests of character and suitability.
Professional/academic and personal references will be required and the successful candidate will undergo a DBS check.
