Marie-Antoinette Bassini

Avocat

Marie Antoinette was born and raised in Paris.

Having studied law at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University, she qualified as an Avocat au Barreau de Paris in 1996.

She worked for two of France’s leading law firms, Stibbe Simont Monahan Duhot & Giroux (now Latham & Watkins) and Moquet Borde et Associés (now Paul Hastings) before moving to the United Kingdom in 2002, where she acted as a legal advisor for the London-based property company, VEF.

Marie Antoinette joined Kingsfords in January 2006 and runs the French Property Department with her bilingual assistant, Renée Hopper.

She has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of private client, property and transactional-related matters for both English and overseas clients and is a fluent French, English and Italian speaker.

As well as assisting clients with their property-related issues, Marie Antoinette works closely with Kingsfords’ Family and Litigation Departments in matters involving cross-border inheritance, succession, relationship breakdown and family issues.

She has one daughter. She lives in London, but retains close links with France, where her family still lives. When she has the opportunity, she enjoys skiing.
