A personal service given in a relaxed and friendly fashion.
Renée was born into a French-speaking household in Southampton and is completely bilingual. Since graduating from Warwick University with a BA(Hons) in English and American Studies, she has worked in a wide range of sectors, including the Agricultural Training Board, freelance translation (contracts, packaging, software and instruction manuals inter alia) and market research (specialising in surveys of the French market), before joining the French Department at Kingsfords in 2004.
As the Department’s legal assistant, Renée provides client-focussed administrative support. She manages the day-to-day client contact and client files and advises on the practical side of French property transactions, including liaison with French estate agents and notaires. Renée understands the differences between the English and the French approaches to property and guides clients through the Diagnostic Survey Reports, transfer of the deposit and balance of the purchase price, insurance, and signature of documents and Powers of Attorney, leaving Marie Antoinette free to deal with the legal issues.
Renée is approachable and helpful; her aim is to ensure our clients’ French transactions are as stress-free as possible.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, keeping fit and reading.
